Us Helping Us' location at 3636 Georgia Ave NW in Washington, DC, will be temporarily closed until further notice due to construction. The facility will be undergoing major renovations so that we can better serve our clients and expand our organization.
Staff and services will now be accessible at two temporary locations (listed below) and the DENIM Collection. All programs and services will continue to operate as usual. We will continue to provide first-class quality service to you throughout the renovations.

October 5th, 2023 marked a momentous occasion as we celebrate the 35th anniversary of Us Helping Us and the legacy we have forged in Washington D.C. Incorporated in 1988, Us Helping Us has been at the forefront of tirelessly combating the HIV epidemic among Black gay men, demonstrating unwavering commitment to their health and well-being. Over the past three and a half decades, our team has not only provided vital prevention and treatment services but has also been a beacon of hope, resilience, and empowerment for the communities we serve.
Our dedication to eradicating the disparities faced by Black gay men and the entire LGBTQ+ community in the fight against HIV has led to significant progress in reducing transmission rates and improving access to life-saving care. As we commemorate this milestone, we acknowledge the incredible strides that were made by our founders and recommit ourselves to the ongoing battle against HIV, guided by the inspiration and legacy of their impactful work.

Us Helping Us Timeline
Since its incorporation in 1988, Us Helping Us has reached multiple milestones that have solidified its place in the DC community and in the fight to end HIV. We started as a small, bootstrap organization on the L Street Corridor, and have now grown to a team of over 40 staff in two locations offering HIV primary care, PrEP prescriptions, case management, and so much more.
